MMA on Tap » Report: GSP Earned $350,000

By Paul Monday, November 27, 2006
The Toronto Sun reporting that UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St. Pierre brought in around $350,000 after his fight with Matt Hughes.

Purses, at least for headline bouts in internationally televised matches, are another thing. St. Pierre took home $350,000 in UFC purse money, bonuses and endorsements for the Hughes fight. Patry said he expects his fighter to exceed $1.3 million in 2007. De La Hoya and Mayweather Jr. will be paid $25 million and $10 million, respectively, for their upcoming fight in May.
