UFC Fight Night 9 Loses Jeff Joslin

By Paul Sunday, March 11, 2007
First Frank Mir, now Jeff Joslin, Fight Night 9 loses another fighter off the orginal card. As reported by Mike Doyle of The Fight Network.
An undisclosed injury has forced Canadian welterweight Jeff Joslin to pull out of his scheduled bout with Kuniyoshi Hironaka (10-3) at the upcoming Spike TV-presented UFC Fight Night on April 5 at The Pearl in The Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. A replacement has not been named yet for Joslin.

Joslin (5-3) looked impressive in a losing effort during his UFC debut against Josh Koscheck in December, controlling the stand-up portion of the fight. Nonetheless, the Hamilton native dropped a decision to the NCAA wrestling standout. Joslin becomes the second fighter in as many days to bow out of the April Spike TV card.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir (9-3) also sustained an injury that will prevent him from facing UFC 65 standout Antoni Hardonk (4-1). Team Punishment fighter Justin McCully (7-3-2) has been identified as Mir’s replacement.
These Changes usually give aspiring fighters an unexpected shot at a UFC fight and which can be good or bad. Like most Fight Nights we should get a chance to see some new faces and maybe some unexpected results.

You wanna make a bet....
