BODOGFIGHT: APRIL 14, 2007 IN ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA (Fight Card Courtesy of MMAWeekly)

Main Card Bouts: (Odds From Bodog.com)

Fedor Emelianenko (-625) vs. Matt Lindland (+425)
I have never found a reason to bet against Fedor; he is the #1 heavyweight in the world (233 lbs), Lindland is the #1 Middleweight (185 lbs), yes I said middleweight. Lindland is a great technician, and a warrior to the end, but, this matchup seems silly to me. Fedor puts Lindland to sleep round 1.

-Aleksander Emelianenko (-300) vs. Eric Pele (+240)
The Battle of Big vs Bigger. Aleksander (Fedor's little Bro) weighs in at 253 and sports a record of 9-3. Eric Pele checks in at 340 lbs and stands with a record of 10-2. Pele's last win was a huge upset over Antonio Silva, stopping the fight in the 1st round with GnP. Little Fedors weakness has been on the ground and and Pele's weakness has been dealing with fast accurate standup.

90 lbs should be enough leverage to take this to the ground where Pele has the advantage with both GnP and Jiu-Jitsu. Aleksander will have to run circles around the big man and tear him apart from the outside...he has the reach, accuracy and the style to do it, but his conditioning is in question for a long battle. Pele Pulls this one out late with a submission.

Eddie Alvarez (-260) vs. Nick Thompson (+200)
Alvarez is ripping through his competition, and he will do the same with the salty vet Thompson.

Roman Zentsov (-550) vs. Bobby Southworth (+350)
Amanda Buckner (-130) vs. Hitomi Akano (+100)
Andrei Semenov (-200) vs. Jorge Santiago (+160)

Preliminary Bouts:
Amar Suloev (-800) vs. Andy Foster (+500)
Julie Kedzie (+275) vs. Julia Berezekova (-350)
Bill Mahood vs. Steve Steinbeiss
Dmitry Samoilov (+130) vs. Ray Steinbeiss (-160)
Derrick Noble (-175) vs. Eric Oganov (+145)
Rodrigo Damm (+130) vs. Santino DeFranco (-160)
Jarno Nurminen (+120) vs. Josh Curran (-150)
Sergey Kaznovsky vs. Dan Evensen
