I have followed the UFC for over 10 years, written as a handicapper, and spent my spare time as an online poker grinder. Unfortunately, I ran out of legal wagering options...Thank god for Daily Fantasy Sports and the much needed addition of MMA drafts. I offer my insight into MMA fight handicapping and fight analysis for the purpose of making some dough at DFS!

There are a few good bets that im looking forward to... Rampage over liddell if the line is anywhere over +200, Kampmann over Franklin (small bet), and DEFINITELY marquardt over silva... Marquardt is a dangerous guy and i think silva is overhyped... Hopefully people will buy into his hype to raise the stakes... I think Nate is going to come in as a pretty as a decent underdog and I will be all over that one... What do you think about those bets Desert Dog? And also, whats your prediction about Tito and Rashad?

  2. Rampage, Kampmann, & Marquart are all solid bets at +200 or better. You only need to be right on 1 of 3 to break even and chances are pretty good to hit on two of these.

Tito and Rashad is a tough call. Tito is a bit stronger, but he really does not like to get hit. If Rashad can maintain dominant position on the ground or keep it on the feet he will likely win.

But, if Tito can get on top it's a rough night for Rashad. I'd take Rashad as long as the odds are +200 preferably +300 but that's probably wishful thinking.

Starnes vs Leben is an interesting one too. If Starnes can get over his pussy ass preformance against Okami he's actually a good match up to beat Chris.

  3. Damn, this is an awesome blog!
I love MMA and placing bets on fights makes watching them so much more exciting. Basically I'm betting on all kind of Combat Sports, mainly MMA but also Boxing and K-1.

The next UFC card looks quite solid. I'm thrilled about Burkman vs Parisyan and I look forward to see Salaverry and Din Thomas competing again. Yes Salaverry didn't give it all in that Fight Night bout but to write him off just like that wasn't right. He's such a technical and methodical fighter and a great personality too, he deserves to be in the UFC.

I look forward to check out your picks. About Pride: Yes I read that you aren't into Pride really but imo they are (were?) truly the No.1 MMA org in the world. I own all events and came to love their spirit and production values, overall competitive matchmaking (except some freak shows) and a great stable of fighters that I prefer mostly over UFC regulars. Shogun, Fedor, Kharitonov, Nog, Crocop, Silva, Gomi...the list goes on and on! Things have changed and Zuffa is taking superstar fighters over but I do hope that the quality of future Pride events won't suffer too much although I'm definitely skeptical about this.

Maybe you'll consider putting up more Pride events in the future. Also other events would be cool. I saw you had Bodog and the IFL already. What about Cage Rage?

I used to bet on Betcris (started out at Sportsbook.com) and am now also a Pinnacle customer. They even offer lines on other smaller events, and lots of boxing and K-1 of course.

So keep up the good work and happy betting. I'll comment again later,
