UFC 73 Early Betting Odds

By Paul Monday, June 25, 2007
UFC 73 Stacked betting odds have for 3 of the main card fights (right side of page) have been out for almost two months now and with all other events out of the way the public eyes are now focusing on the July card.

All three of these main event fights are very tight matchups which are close to 50/50 in true probabilities. However, current belt holders and fan favorites tend to become overvalued especially during early betting. If you're looking to shop for odds on a few of the dogs now is the time.....These are not necessarily my predictions, just pointing the current value on the dogs.

I'll discuss the specifics of the matchups in more detail later this week, but for now I'm just going to point out where the best returns are.

Hermes Franca odds recently moved to +225 at Bookmaker.com. I would say that this is one of the best values on the card. The trend looks like it could get as good as +250, but it's worth catching it here if this is a bet you want to take.

Nate Marquardt's odds have been holding steady for some time now. He's got a bit of value at +135 which you can get at all the books expect BetUS.

Rashad Evans odds have been hovering around -105 to -110 at most books, but SportsBook.com has just moved him to a true dog at +120. At 15 to 30 points better than most other books, this is the place to go if you're an Evans fan.

I have followed the UFC for over 10 years, written as a handicapper, and spent my spare time as an online poker grinder. Unfortunately, I ran out of legal wagering options...Thank god for Daily Fantasy Sports and the much needed addition of MMA drafts. I offer my insight into MMA fight handicapping and fight analysis for the purpose of making some dough at DFS!
