UFC Fight night 8 Great KO's but Bad Bets

Well I guess I can't come out ahead on every card. My only winning bet for the night was Din Thomas over Clay Guida (+220), but my other two bets went down hard; especially RaShad Evans vs Sean Salmon (-50) .....Ouch. That was a scary knock out. Current reports say that he went to the hospital but is doing fine. The last bet down the drain was Hermes Franca vs Spencer Fisher (-200). The fight was great excellent striking from Fisher and a great ground game from Franca, and then Franca's haymakers found a home on Fisher's face. Franca follewed up very well to finish the bout with a TKO. Over all -30 pts on the night but very entertained.

These are the odds releaded today by BetCris.com, I'm placing 3 bets on this night. 200pts on Dean Lister, 200 pts on Din Thomas, and 50 points on Sean Salmon. The easiest pick tommorow is Thomas he should be a heavy favorite in this fight. Lister on the other hand should be close to even money so the +190 to +200 odds are too good to pass up. Lister is Superb on the ground, he is one of the top trainers in the UFC, that said he has not been fighting alot, his last fight was a win in August of 2006 and it went to decision. I'm putting a few points on Salmon just because RaShad has taken most of his fights to decision and believes he's a powerful unbeaten contender, but in reality he has faced little opposition besides his own conditioning, I think this fight could be his reality check. Sean is 8-1 in MMA he has many of the same wrestling skills as RaShad however he is very proficient in finishing fights once they go to the ground. UFCJunkie is also picking Sean Salmon to win.

Bet On Fighting has released lines on two of the nights fights. Rashad Evens is still being fed a steady diet of chumps, while Hermes Franca and Spencer Fisher are going to put on a real fight. My pick Fisher by TKO 2nd round.
