Cage Rage 25 Betting Odds: Shamrock vs Berry and Others

By Paul Friday, March 07, 2008
CAGE RAGE 25: MARCH 8 ON SHOWTIME, location: London, England. Four bouts are scheduled to air on showtime with a few interesting undercard names that we might also get a peak at like Ken Shamrock's son Ryan who will be fighting at a whopping 135 lbs for his second profession al fight.

All of the Odds listed are from I'm going to list my actual bets for this and future events. I won't be listing my dollar amounts though, instead I'll use the ubiquitous betting term "unit"; in other words your typical bet size which is dependant on your bankroll and the size of your cazzo....

Main Card:
Ken Shamrock (-220) vs. Robert Berry (+180)
The 44 year old Shamrock in his first fight since back to back losses to Tito in 2006. Ken has only won 2 of his last 8 fights since 2001. Shamrock's opponent is what I like to call a well rounded pass out specialist. He has a lot of skills, but seems to excel at getting knocked out. Seeing how Shamrock last 6 losses came by way of TKO as well, this seems like a match made in heaven.

It's a coin flip as to which of these two passes out first, so I'll put a small bet on the Berry to spoil a beautiful father son event.

Bet on Berry (+180) .33 units to win .594

Masakazu Imanari (-150) vs. Jean Silva (+120)
In his second featherwieght title defense, Masakazu will face the former champ Jean Silva of Team Shoot Box. Masakazu is considered to be in the top 5 featherweights in the world. This should be a very faced paced technical match. Over all Imanari's experience and wizardry on the ground should lead to another victory. I think the odds here are favorable and this will be my primary bet for this event.

Bet on Imanari (-150) 1 unit to win .66

Gary Turner (-115) vs. Mustapha Al Turk (-115)
Tom Watson (-200) vs. Pierre Guillet (+160)

Ivan Serati vs. Roman Webber
Rob Broughton (-145) vs. Neil Grove (+115)
Heavyweight contender bout between two big SOB's who love to throw down. Elite is marketing this as a fan favorite fight so it could make it onto the broadcast if time allows. I don't know enough about these two to make a play.

Henrique Santana vs. Michael Johnson
Aisling Daly vs. Aysen Berik
Ryan Shamrock vs. Giorgio Andrews
John Hathaway vs. Marvin Arnold
Jack Bostwick vs. John Phillips

Recap of my bets for this event:
Imanari (-150) 1 unit to win .66
Berry (+180) .33 units to win .594
